Linde Equity was founded in 2000 by Vancouver stock analyst, Teal Linde, to perform independent securities research and analysis for individual investors. Results from his research are offered to investors as advice through Linde Equity Investment Counsel and the Linde Equity Report.
Teal Linde has developed a systematic method for stock selection based on principles used by Peter Lynch and Warren Buffett. He began researching stocks in 1995 and went on to achieve over a 30% compound annual return in his portfolio from December 31, 1995 to December 31, 1999. Inspired by his success, Mr. Linde ventured out on his own to start an independent investment research boutique in January 2000. He founded Linde Equity and began publishing stock recommendations in the Linde Equity Report in May 2000. Within 2 ½ years, CBS MarketWatch ranked the Linde Equity Report as one of the 'Top 10' best performing stock newsletters in North America in the aftermath of 9/11. Publicity in The Vancouver Sun and on News1130 (see early publicity) prompted local investors to approach Mr. Linde to advise them on their portfolios. In response, he registered Linde Equity as an Investment Counsel with the BC Securities Commission and now offers highly individualized investment advice to BC and Ontario investors.
Teal Linde is President and Founder of Linde Equity Inc., a registered Investment Counsel and Portfolio Manager with the BC Securities Commission and Ontario Securities Commission. Mr. Linde received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1992. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Vancouver, formerly The Vancouver Society of Financial Analysts.
